˖ . ݁𝜗𝜚. ݁₊ I started making my own drinks a year ago when I realized they taste a million times better when homemade. This one is a current favourite in our household and when you have all of the ingredients prepped, it only takes a couple of minutes to make and enjoy.
Ingredients:
2 shots of espresso (or 1 depending on preference)
1/2 tbsp of maple syrup
1 tsp salted caramel
ice
1/4 cup whipping cream
1 tbsp pumpkin pie syrup
1 cup milk of choice.
1. Prepping
I am a strong believer that everything tastes better when made from scratch but I am also fully aware of how much effort and time it can take. For this recipe, you can either use pre-made salted caramel and pumpkin syrup (you can find these at homesense or homegoods) or make them yourself. I’ll be posting both syrup recipes very soon! x
2. Espresso
In a shaker add your maple syrup and salted caramel then pull your espresso shots over them to melt everything together and then stir with a spoon.
3. Pumpkin cold foam
If you own a milk frother, this step is just a million times easier. I use my Nespresso: add in pumpkin spice syrup with some whipping cream, hold the power button until it turns blue and let it do its thing. If you don’t have one, no worries, you can add everything into a tall glass and use a handheld mini whisk then mix until it becomes thicker.
4. Put everything together
Now that your pumpkin cold foam is ready,
Add ice to your shaker and shake until chilled. Here’s a tip if you want to avoid cleaning up a mess: Instead of just taking the top cap off, gently remove the strainer cover too to release the pressure.
In a glass, add ice first, your milk of choice, pour your espresso mixture in and top it off with your pumpkin cold foam. If you want to be extra fancy, create a cool design on top of your drink using some salted caramel as shown in the picture!
ENJOY ! xx
